Crema Coffee Roasters | Spring ‘23

Crema is Nashville’s absolute, all-time, number-one coffee establishment. A bastion in the heart of the city for fifteen years, Crema’s growth has been measured, organic, and mindful — of their employees and neighbors and community. As Crema prepared this year to open their first-ever cafe outside of Nashville (in neighboring Brentwood), I worked alongside them offering creative direction and voice strategy.

Our goal was to illustrate how this growth fit into the larger story of Crema — a neighborhood coffee shop at heart, stepping into a new neighborhood — while highlighting the innovations and expertise that led Food and Wine to name them Tennessee’s Best Coffee Roaster in 2022.

Just don’t call the new location Brew-ntwood. (I tried. Like, several times. It got a laugh, like, once.)
